I’ve seen the other side (literary Instagram) and I’ve decided I actually quite like Twitter. One thing I’ve noticed on Bookstagram is that there is very rarely any opposition to anything. You can get a Twitter following by being reliably prickly - sending provocative tweets, or being snarky about others, or vagueposting about authors and critics you don’t like. It is a platform that rewards bitchiness, and grudges, and dark asides.
