Note - I was cold-commissioned to write a newspaper feature last week. I said yes and then it turned out there was very little evidence for the stuff I was meant to write about, which meant I ended up in an Unforeseen Spiral of Research - really very interesting research involving newspaper archives and attempting to prove other people wrong. I had the genius idea of documenting my research and turning it into one of my two private newsletters here, ft. bonus disowning of all the people I tried to prove wrong. Then I couldn’t put it out because the feature was delayed! ie. first I thought it would go out last week, then I was told it would be this Thursday, then today - now I am in the dark about the online date and am told it will make a print appearance in their culture supplement next Saturday. Never embroil yourself in a publishing supply chain!! Long story short I am behind. So this one will hopefully be on the long side.
